Background
Native to both the Coachella Valley and Mexicali, Baja California, Marvin grew up with both cultural influences that helped shaped his character and built strong personal values. He graduated from Palm Springs High School and continued his education with College of the Desert and California State University San Bernardino majoring in Mass Media Studies and Public Relations. During his college years he participated as a column writer for CSUSB’s The Coyote Chronicle and COD’s El Chaparral newspaper. Marvin thrives in pop culture and has a strong passion for film, tv series, graphic novels, anime, and horror podcasts. He enjoys collectables, goth literature, Kingdom Hearts, and a large cup of cold Horchata.

Experience
Since 2015, Marvin has been involved in various media projects throughout his freelancing career that include collaborations with the Cord Media Company and The Greater Palm Springs Film Alliance as Camera Operator and Production Assistant. In 2022, Marvin joined Game-On Entertainment and became part of the production crew at Acrisure Arena for the CV Firebirds matches catching every play and crowd energy shown on the jumbo screen. After a long road, he starts with NBC Palm Springs as their latest Photographer where he seeks to sharpen his skills as a storyteller and learn new ones along the way where he aims to capture and immortalize the rich uniqueness and spirt found in the Coachella Valley.
