An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, August 22, 2026!

Because high temperatures will continue to exceed 110° each afternoon into next week, the National Weather Service has extended its Extreme Heat Warning for the Coachella Valley-area through Friday.

Today, the Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds with dew points in the 50s, middle-of-the-day relative humidity bottoming-out in the teens, with high temperatures in the lower one-teens.

The Valley will see lots of sunshine on Sunday with a few mountain clouds later in the day, and another afternoon of midday highs in the lower one-teens.

As far as rain is concerned, there will be just enough mid-level moisture today to possible trigger a Santa Rosa shower... if anything at all. Zero precipitation for our area on Sunday.
