Bosley Wants Out of the Shelter and Into Your Home

This week's Pet of the Week is Bosley, an 11-month-old shepherd mix who has spent the entire car ride to the studio resting his head against Veronica Perez, who joined NBC Palm Springs with Riverside County Animal Services.

Bosley is on the shorter side, but Perez said his shepherd traits are easy to spot, calling him a big breed dog in a little body. He has been at the shelter since late April, and according to Perez, he is good with people, gets along well with other dogs in his playgroup, and recently passed his first test out in public with flying colors. He went on a Fido walk yesterday and earned five-star reviews, handling the car ride, the crowds, and even a stop for a pup cup without any issues. Perez said Bosley is easygoing, good on a leash, and mostly just wants treats and cuddles, making him a good fit for almost any household. His shelter ID is A1912982.

Perez also introduced a few other animals looking for homes. Pebbles, ID A1911031, is a brindle shepherd mix just over a year old who has been at the shelter since mid-April and is described as playful and full of energy. Hinata, ID A1637323, is a 5-year-old Siberian husky mix who has been at the shelter since late April. Nectar, ID A1906904, is a 13-week-old domestic short hair kitten who came in back in March, likely from a litter, and is now old enough to be adopted.

Perez took the time to mention kitten season has brought in cats and kittens of all ages, and the shelter is looking for foster homes, especially for kittens who are not yet eight weeks old. She said fostering kittens is fairly low maintenance when a mother cat is involved, since she handles most of the care, and fosters mainly provide a safe space for the litter to grow.
