Lane Closures Planned on Highway 111 in Indian Wells for Landscaping Work

Drivers heading through Indian Wells should plan for traffic delays tomorrow as crews conduct landscaping work along Highway 111.

City officials say one lane in each direction — specifically the lanes closest to the median — will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as crews install and maintain landscaping in the roadway medians.

The closures will affect a stretch of Highway 111 from Miles Avenue to the La Quinta city limits.

Officials say all other travel lanes will remain open during the work, but drivers should still expect slower traffic and possible delays during peak travel times.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes when possible as crews complete the landscaping improvements.
