Sip, Sip, Hooray! Jerry Steffen Puts Your Holiday Knowledge to the Test
Thursday, May 21, 2026, is packed with some truly unique holidays, and NBC Palm Springs weatherman Jerry Steffen is celebrating all of them in the latest edition of Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by One Coachella Valley.
Today's holiday lineup includes International Tea Day, a United Nations recognized observance highlighting the cultural heritage, health benefits, and socioeconomic importance of tea. It is also National Strawberries and Cream Day, a sweet reminder that strawberry season is in full swing right here in Southern California. And rounding out the calendar is Rapture Party Day, also known as End of the World Day, which traces back to a May 21, 2011 prediction by the Christian Broadcasting Network that the end of the world would arrive at 6 p.m., time zone by time zone.
In honor of Rapture Party Day, Steffen served up two end-of-the-world themed trivia questions. Think you know your apocalyptic pop culture? Watch the video and put yourself to the test.
