Because of a trough of low pressure and a tight pressure gradient, on-shore winds will remain strong today. You can also expect poor air quality due to elevated dust and dirt.

Next --- as this disturbance begins to exit the area -- winds will become more Northerly and be at their strongest Monday morning. This wind shift will also drop dew points and relative humidity.

Wind Advisories have been posted for a large area of Southern California, some through Monday morning. Also, an Air Quality Alert has been issued for the Coachella Valley through Monday morning.

Valley high temperatures will be running several degrees below-normal today and tomorrow with peak numbers in the upper-80s/lower-90s both afternoons. This will be followed by middle-90s on Tuesday, closer to 100° by Wednesday.
