Ryan Güt to Release New Desert Rock Album “The Shastafarian”

A new solo music project inspired by desert rock and psychedelic Americana is set to debut later this month in the Coachella Valley.

Musician Ryan Güt will release his new album, The Shastafarian, on May 23.

Güt, known for his drumming work with several desert rock artists, performed every instrument and vocal track featured on the album himself, making the release a fully independent solo effort.

To celebrate the launch, a local listening party is scheduled for release day at Rosemary Hi-Fi in Indio.

The 21-and-over event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is expected to showcase tracks from the new record while bringing together local music fans and members of the desert music community.
