Coachella Residents Urged to Complete Survey on Proposed Data Center Project
Residents in Coachella have until Monday to weigh in on a proposed data center development through an online community survey.
The survey follows growing public concern surrounding the proposed Coachella Valley Technology Campus, which could bring several large data center buildings to a site near Avenue 52 and Fillmore Street.
Community members voiced concerns during a town hall meeting earlier this week, raising questions about the project’s potential environmental impacts, energy demands, and long-term effects on the region.
City officials say the project has not yet been approved and emphasized that no environmental impact report process has begun at this time.
The survey will remain open until 6 p.m. on May 18 and is available in both English and Spanish. Residents can find information about the survey through NBC Palm Springs under the newsroom tab.
